This R18 Bobber steals the show wherever it goes. What started as a 2021 R18 has now become one of my favorite bikes to ride and just look at. It started with the long awaited "Bobber" Conversion kit from BMW. After sending parts to paint and setting up the wiring, the Bobber kit was installed and dramatically changed the R18. Removing the "Fishtail" exhaust was next and went with shorty turn-outs to keep the back half as tight and light as possible. To get the ride ride, a Yacugar F-RS was special ordered from Ted Porters and built to spec for the R18. With Hydraulic Preload, Damping and Low/High Speed Compression adjustments, the ride can be tuned to your liking. Then the Roland Sands Design bits where ready to go on. Here is the list (all 2-tone Black): Cylinder Valve Covers, Engine Housing Cover, Adjustable Hand Levers, 1.5" HandleBar Bottom Clamp and Caps, Front Clutch and Brake Reservoir Covers, Rear Brake Reservoir Covers, HandleBar Grip Machined, Speedometer Housing, Headlight Trim, and Upper Forkleg Caps. Stopping there to preserve just the right amount of chrome up top and on the bottom. Lastly, I acquired the 1st Edition Roundel Badges and had them installed, plus black out a few more trim pieces. Aside from the R18 itself (MSRP $18795), just the parts bin was over $7500 retail plus paint and labor.
This R18 Bobber has only 2127 miles and is still under full BMW Factory Warranty. I have nearly all original parts including the Fishtails, Rear Fender and Rear Subframe.
This is my personal BMW R18 and I am looking to give my wife a seat again. This is not set up to tour, at all! Yes, it is narrowly focused personality R18. It is loud, it is very quick in Rock mode with the reduced weight and it is an attention getter.
